The Brute is a surface mounted electronic deadlatch that can be used for many applications in conjunction with access control devices meeting the following specs: 24VDC,dc coil resistance: 6 Ohms, current 5.5 to 6.5 amps , wire size min. required is 18 gauge. The Brute uses a heavy duty 12 volt VDC solenoid but the 24 VDC requirement increases bolt retraction without harming the solenoid.   The strikes available for this lock include #1 strike ,#2 strikes ,#3 strike , #9 strikes. This lock was originally designed to be used with the discontinued S&G Codetronic II access control systems.
