Surface mounted wiring gives the customer visual confirmation that all wiring is shielded as well
as easy access in case a wiring problem occurs. Surface Mounted wiring is also a great option when
retrofitting an existing door with an LKM10K. This eliminates the need to site in a 3’ drill bit
and bore a hole through a door hoping it doesn’t drift and miss the target area or worse pierce the
surface of a wood door. The kit allows the technician to attach flex conduit along the unsecure
side of the door to run wiring for power to the LKM10K lock or the status switches. The kit will
include the conduit connector, new LKM10K back over, 4’ of 3/8” flexible conduit and conduit
fastening straps. This will allow the technician to make a single armored loop from the door to the
wall. Surface mount wiring kits is at GSA for approval and will soon be available for the LKM10K
series of locks.
